Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Junior/Senior Sales Engineer with an engineering background to drive regional growth in industrial control and automation solutions.

The role covers identifying opportunities, presenting PLC/SCADA and robotics solutions, and visiting client sites to tailor equipment setups that meet customer requirements. A diploma or degree in a related field and 1–2 years of sales engineering experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• 1–2 years of sales engineering experience; fresh graduates with technical backgrounds welcome.
• Basic understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and nurture relationships with industrial clients.
• Pitch technical automation solutions including PLCs, SCADA, sensors, and robotics.
• Conduct client site visits to assess constraints and propose equipment setups.
• Prepare commercial quotes, negotiate terms, and close sales orders to meet targets.
• Collaborate with internal technical specialists to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.
