Ambition is seeking a technically minded Sales Engineer for Malaysia, focusing on Penang's industrial sector. You will own your territory, build a robust pipeline, and drive solutions across tools, automation, vision systems, and digital offerings.

This permanent field-based role rewards performance with incentives and flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will engage production, engineering, and management teams, deliver product demonstrations, and translate customer needs

Qualificações

• 2-4 years of experience as a sales engineer.
• Mechanical or electrical knowledge is essential.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English and Malay; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute a territory sales plan targeting General Industry and Automotive Quality Control segments.
• Promote a broad product portfolio to new and existing customers.
• Identify and win new customers across Malaysia, with emphasis on Penang.
• Build lasting relationships with production, engineering, and management stakeholders.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, line audits, and solution presentations.
• Translate customer needs into tailored, value-based solutions and coordinate internal delivery.
• Develop and manage distributor relationships where applicable.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to financial targets.

The Role

• Develop and execute a territory sales plan targeting high-growth General Industry and Automotive Quality Control segments
• Promote a broad product portfolio - tools, automation, vision systems, process control, and digital solutions - to new and existing customers
• Identify and win new customers across Malaysia, with a strong focus on the Penang industrial ecosystem
• Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders across production, engineering, and management functions
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, line audits, and solution presentations to convert qualified opportunities
• Translate customer needs into tailored, value-based solutions and support implementation through internal collaboration
• Develop and manage distributor relationships where applicable
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports, and support financial performance targets

What We're Looking For

A proactive, commercially driven sales professional:

• 2-4 years of experience as a sales engineer
• Mechanical or electrical knowledge; experience in premium industrial solution selling is an advantage
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills with a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset
• Fluent in English and Malay; Mandarin is an advantage
• Self-starter with strong business acumen and a results-driven approach
