Responsibilities

• Greeting customers warmly and professionally as they enter the store, creating a positive first impression.
• Assisting customers in finding products and providing product information, recommendations and advice to meet their needs.
• Processing sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, handling cash and card payments with care.
• Maintaining the shop floor by restocking shelves, arranging displays and ensuring products are well-presented and clearly labelled.
• Keeping the store clean, tidy and organised throughout the day, paying attention to health and safety standards.
• Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally, working to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
• Supporting stock management activities, including receiving deliveries and conducting inventory checks.
• Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive working environment.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join the IMIKA EMPIRE SDN BHD team in Johor. This is a full-time position that sits at the heart of our retail operations, providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth running of our store. As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our brand, helping customers find what they need whilst maintaining a welcoming and professional environment. This role is essential to delivering the outstanding shopping experience our customers expect from us.

What you'll be doing

Greeting customers warmly and professionally as they enter the store, creating a positive first impression

Assisting customers in finding products and providing product information, recommendations and advice to meet their needs

Processing sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, handling cash and card payments with care

Maintaining the shop floor by restocking shelves, arranging displays and ensuring products are well-presented and clearly labelled

Keeping the store clean, tidy and organised throughout the day, paying attention to health and safety standards

What we're looking for

Strong customer service skills with a genuine enthusiasm for helping people and making their shopping experience enjoyable

Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with diverse customers

Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to commit to a full-time working schedule including weekends if required

Basic numeracy skills and comfort handling cash transactions accurately

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment

Willingness to learn about products and company procedures quickly and efficiently

A positive attitude, flexibility and adaptability when dealing with changing priorities and customer needs

Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential; we are willing to train the right candidate
