Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and develop new sales opportunities with potential and existing clients within the engineering sector
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
• Present and demonstrate products or services to prospective clients, highlighting their benefits and value proposition
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotations tailored to client requirements
• Negotiate terms and conditions to close sales whilst maintaining profitability and company standards
• Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics on a consistent basis
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform sales strategies and identify growth opportunities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions and pipeline progress using CRM systems
• Collaborate with internal teams including technical and operations staff to ensure customer requirements are met effectively
• Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs and potential areas for product or service improvement

What we're looking for

• Proven track record of success in a sales representative or sales consultant role, preferably within the engineering or related industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills with a results-driven mindset
• Ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that drive business value
• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Self-motivated and disciplined with strong time management and organisational abilities
• Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as required
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of engineering products, services or solutions is advantageous
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; additional languages are a bonus
