Job summary

Suria Mining Industries Sdn. Bhd. invites applications for a Safety Supervisor to oversee site safety in Perak’s mining operations.

You will monitor hazards, enforce compliance with safety rules, deliver toolbox talks, and promote a strong safety culture across the site. The role requires 2–4 years of safety experience, familiarity with OSHA/OSH and JKKP/DOSH, and the ability to conduct risk assessments and safety inspections. Mining or heavy industry experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of site-based safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA/OSH and JKKP/DOSH requirements.
• Willing to work in a site-based mining operation in Perak.
• Experience in mining, quarrying, construction or heavy industry is an advantage.
• Able to conduct hazard identification, risk assessment and safety inspections.
• JKKP Green Book (SHO) holder preferred.
• Able to prepare safety reports and maintain proper safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site safety, workplace hazards and risk controls.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/OSH requirements, JKKP/DOSH regulations and company SOPs.
• Conduct safety training, toolbox meetings and daily site safety briefings.
• Monitor the proper use of PPE, equipment and safe work practices.
• Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective action.
• Investigate and prepare reports for accidents, incidents and near-miss cases.
• Maintain safety records, reports and statutory documentation.
• Assist in implementing and reviewing HIRARC / risk assessment and safety procedures.
• Coordinate safety requirements with management, workers and contractors.
• Act as the company representative and liaison with JKKP/DOSH when required.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a positive safety culture throughout site operations.

Job description

We are looking for a responsible, proactive and committed Safety Supervisor to join our mining operations team in Perak. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring workplace safety, ensuring compliance with applicable safety requirements and promoting a strong safety culture across site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Basic Salary: RM2,500 – RM3,500 per month
