Job summary

MTD Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Safety Officer to take ownership of workplace safety, compliance and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. You will monitor DOSH/OSHA and company safety requirements, conduct inspections, risk assessments and safety audits, and lead safety training and toolbox talks.

You will identify hazards, implement corrective actions, maintain safety records, and work with Production and other departments to raise safety standards.

Job description

We’re looking for a proactive Safety Officer to take ownership of workplace safety, compliance and continuous improvement across our operations.

What You’ll Do

Monitor and ensure compliance with DOSH/OSHA and company safety requirements.

Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.

Identify hazards and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Lead safety training, toolbox meetings and employee awareness programs.

Investigate workplace incidents and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Maintain safety records, reports, procedures and relevant documentation.

Monitor PPE, emergency preparedness, 5S and safe work practices.

Work closely with Production and other departments to improve workplace safety.

Support DOSH inspections, audits and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.

Good knowledge of workplace safety regulations and risk management.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Proactive, hands-on and confident in engaging employees at all levels.
