Job summary

Mestron Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to oversee workplace safety and health matters across our operations in Malaysia. You will monitor compliance with DOSH and statutory requirements, conduct regular site inspections, perform hazard assessments (HIRARC, JSA), investigate incidents, and coordinate the Safety & Health Committee.

This role requires a valid DOSH Green Book, an relevant OSH qualification, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Valid DOSH Green Book (SHO Registration) is mandatory.
• Relevant qualification in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• Good knowledge of DOSH requirements and workplace safety practices.
• Independent, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and health compliance per DOSH and statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and follow up on corrective actions (HIRARC, JSA).
• Investigate and document workplace accidents/incidents as required.
• Monitor daily safety practices and ensure employees follow procedures.
• Coordinate Safety & Health Committee meetings and safety-related activities.
• Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA and authorities on safety matters.
• Provide advice and support to management on workplace safety and health.
