Job summary

SP Logistics Sdn Bhd is seeking a Diploma or Degree holder in Occupational Safety and Health to join our safety team. The role focuses on monitoring compliance, conducting inspections, and maintaining safety records across our warehousing and logistics sites in Malaysia.

You will lead incident investigations, manage PPE usage, deliver safety inductions, and coordinate with DOSH/JKKP, BOMBA and other authorities to ensure ongoing compliance with OSH regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in OSH or related field.
• Valid DOSH/JKKP Green Book and SHO registration.
• Experience in safety, preferably in industrial or logistics environments.
• Knowledge of HIRARC, risk assessment, safety inspections, and incident investigations.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

This role involves supporting incident investigations, managing PPE usage, conducting safety inductions and briefings, and liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure workplace safety and health compliance
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and workplace walkabouts
• Prepare and maintain safety documents, reports, records, and HIRARC
• Assist in incident and accident investigations and prepare investigation reports
• Monitor PPE usage and maintain PPE issuance records
• Conduct safety induction, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings
• Monitor fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and other emergency equipment
• Collect and maintain OSH data and statistics for reporting
• Liaise with DOSH/JKKP, BOMBA, and other authorities when required
• Monitor contractors and employees to ensure compliance with site safety requirements

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) or related field
• Must possess a valid DOSH/JKKP Green Book and be registered as a Safety and Health Officer (SHO)
• Relevant experience in safety, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or port environments
• Good knowledge of workplace safety and health requirements
• Familiar with HIRARC, risk assessment, safety inspections, and incident investigation
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Possess a valid driving licence
• Physically fit and able to work in a challenging site/industrial environment
