CHINA CONSTRUCTION YANGTZE RIVER (M) SDN. BHD. in Malaysia seeks a Health and Safety Officer to oversee construction site safety, ensuring compliance with local laws and group standards.

You will identify risks, lead safety planning, and coordinate training and daily inspections with site teams.

This role requires strong knowledge of Malaysian regulations and the ability to implement safety improvements across projects.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Production Safety Law and Malaysia's safety regulations.
• Strong knowledge of standards such as JGJ59-2011 and JGJ46-2005.
• Understanding of corporate safety management manuals used by the company.
• Ability to identify safety risks from the project overview and support the Safety Management Plan.
• Familiar with safety responsibilities of each position and lead assessments.
• Experience with safety education, training, and pre-shift announcements.
• Experience with safety inspections and hazard identification with corrective actions.
• Knowledge of Special Rectification Actions and leadership development programs.
• Awareness of international and domestic safety excellence standards.

Responsabilités

• Identify project safety risks and preventive controls on site as part of daily management.
• Lead the preparation and implementation of the Project Safety Management Plan.
• Understand safety responsibilities and lead assessments.
• Conduct safety education and training, including pre-shift announcements and weekly sessions.
• Carry out daily safety inspections and support weekly and special inspections.
• Identify hazards and propose targeted rectifications.
• Implement Special Rectification Actions and safety capability improvements.
• Align project safety work with international and domestic safety excellence standards.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure safety compliance across all activities.

Description du poste

1. Familiar with the Production Safety Law and local safety laws and regulations in Malaysia;

2. Good knowledge with relevant standards such as "JGJ59-2011 Construction Safety Inspection Standards", "JGJ46-2005 Technical Specifications for Temporary Electricity Safety at Construction Sites";

3. Good knowledge with corporate management standards such as the "Three Standards-Safety Management" of the Branch Engineering Bureau, the "Project Safety Management Implementation Manual" of the Malaysian Company, and the "Standardized Atlas of Safe and Civilized Construction of the Malaysian Company";

4. Familiar with the project engineering overview, identify project safety risks and prevention and control measures, and be able to cooperate in the preparation of the "Project Safety Management Plan",

5. Familiar with the safety responsibilities of each position and be able to take the lead in conducting assessments;

6. Familiar with and master the standards for carrying out project safety education and training work and be able to independently or cooperate with the project safety officer in safety education, and cooperate in carrying out project pre-shift announcements, weekly safety training and special safety training activities.

7. Familiar with the standards for project safety inspections, be able to independently carry out daily safety inspections, cooperate with weekly project safety inspections and special safety inspections, be able to comprehensively identify potential hazards on the project site, and be able to put forward targeted rectification suggestions.

8. Understand the standards for safety management activities such as "Special Rectification Actions" and "Special Improvement of Team Leaders' Safety Management Capabilities" carried out by the branch, and fully implement them within the scope of the project.

9. Understand the requirements of international and domestic safety excellence standards and lead projects to carry out safety excellence work.
