Job summary

MVC Resources is seeking an experienced Team Lead, Record-to-Report (RTR) to manage a high-performing RTR/GL team in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee end-to-end RTR activities, ensure accurate month-end closes and drive process improvements across the function.

The ideal candidate has 4–10 years in RTR/GL with strong people management skills, stakeholder engagement, and solid knowledge of GL, reconciliations, fixed assets and month-end controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance, professional qualification preferred.
• 4–10 years in RTR/GL, preferably in an SSC/GBS environment.
• Proven people manager, able to lead 10+ team members.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Fixed Assets, month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end RTR/GL activities, ensuring timely month-end and year-end close.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, review reconciling items, ageing, and resolution of balances.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting: additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation and adjustments.
• Oversee prepayments, accruals, journal entries, and other accounting adjustments per policy and controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Controllership and stakeholders to resolve complex issues and drive improvements, standardisation and automation.
• Lead people management activities: coaching, performance management, succession planning and building a high-performing RTR team.
