Job summary

Quintus Search is seeking an experienced RTR/GL professional in Kuala Lumpur to oversee daily accounting, manage fixed assets, and support intercompany transactions across a Shared Services environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, 3–5 years of RTR/GL experience, and proficiency with SAP. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a drive for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of RTR/GL experience in a Shared Services setting preferred.
• Experience with SAP accounting system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure accounting processes comply with standards, policies, and audit readiness.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation, purchases, and disposals.
• Record intercompany transactions between related entities accurately.
• Prepare and submit tax returns and maintain tax records for compliance.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements in financial accounting.

• Oversee day-to-day financial accounting activities, such as journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
• Responsible for preparing financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement to communicate the financial position of the organization to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure that financial accounting processes adhere to accounting standards, policies, and procedures, and that the organization is ready for internal and external audits.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, which involves tracking and reporting on the depreciation of fixed assets, maintaining accurate records of asset purchases, and tracking disposal of assets
• Responsible for Intercompany Accounting and accurately recording financial transactions between related entities within the organization.
• Manage taxation responsibilities include preparing and submitting tax returns, maintaining tax records, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Continuously identify areas for process improvement and develops and implements new and more efficient financial accounting processes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance or related fields.
• At least 3-5 years of working experience under the RTR/GL function in a Shared Services setting.
• Working experience with SAP accounting system.
• Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solver and passionate in continuous improvement.
