Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an experienced Team Lead, Record-to-Report (RTR) in Kuala Lumpur to manage a finance shared services team. The role focuses on end-to-end RTR/GL operations, month-end close, and driving improvements. You will work with Controllership and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely reporting while developing a high-performing RTR team.

Candidate should have 4–10 years in RTR/GL, with strong leadership and accounting controls knowledge. ACCA/CPA/CIMA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) is advantageous.
• 4–10 years of accounting/RTR/GL experience in SSC/GBS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end RTR/GL activities and month-end/year-end closing.

Job Description

We are looking for an experiencedTeam Lead, Record-to-Report (RTR)to lead a team within the finance shared services / Global Business Services (GBS) environment.

The role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day RTR operations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting activities while driving team performance, process improvements and strong stakeholder relationships.

• Oversee end-to-endRecord-to-Report / General Ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
  
• ManageBalance Sheet reconciliations, including review of reconciling items, ageing and timely resolution of outstanding balances.
  
• OverseeFixed Asset accounting, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation and depreciation-related adjustments.
  
• Overseeprepayments, accruals, journal entries and other accounting adjustments, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  
• Partner with Finance, Controllership and other stakeholders to resolve complex accounting issues and driveprocess improvements, standardisation and automation.
  
• Drive strongpeople management, including coaching, performance management, succession planning and building a high-performing RTR team.
  

Requirements

• Degree inAccounting, Finance or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA being an advantage.
  
• 4-10 years of relevant accounting / RTR / GL experience, preferably within a Shared Services or GBS environment.
  
• Proven experience inpeople management, ideally leading a team of 10+ members.
  
• Strong technical knowledge acrossGeneral Ledger, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Fixed Assets, prepayments and depreciation.
  
• Good understanding ofmonth-end closing, financial controls and accounting processes.
