Job summary

Royal Selangor is seeking a Store Supervisor in Penang to support the Store Manager in delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You will guide sales associates, manage inventory, and ensure visual merchandising aligns with our heritage and brand guidelines.

The role requires 2–3 years of retail experience, strong leadership, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Weekend and holiday shifts are required in a luxury retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of retail sales experience, with at least 1 year in a senior sales or supervisory capacity.
• Experience in luxury retail, lifestyle, or heritage brands is an advantage.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, floor coverage, cash handling, and POS transactions while driving the team to meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
• Deliver high-touch, personalized customer service, handle after-sales requests, and build lasting relationships with local and VIP clients.
• Supervise, guide, and motivate retail sales associates on the floor, assisting with onboarding, daily shift rosters, and product knowledge coaching.
• Conduct regular stock counts, manage inventory accuracy, coordinate store replenishments, and handle incoming/outgoing stock transfers to prevent shrinkage.
• Maintain pristine store presentation, display layouts, and promotional displays in compliance with Royal Selangor brand guidelines.

The Store Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the Store Manager to drive daily retail operations, achieve sales targets, and deliver an exceptional shopping experience at Royal Selangor. As a brand ambassador for the world’s leading pewter manufacturer, this role involves guiding retail sales associates, managing store inventory, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and serving a diverse clientele of local customers, VIPs, and international tourists.

Key responsibilities

Oversee daily store operations, floor coverage, cash handling, and POS transactions while driving the team to meet and exceed monthly sales targets

Deliver high-touch, personalized customer service, handle after-sales requests, and build lasting relationships with local and VIP clients

Requirements

SPM/ Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Retail Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum 2 to 3 years of retail sales experience, with at least 1 year in a senior sales or supervisory capacity

Experience in luxury retail, lifestyle, or heritage brands is an advantage

Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and customer relationship management skills

Basic proficiency in POS and inventory software

Willingness to work retail shift hours, including weekends and public holidays
