Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) seeks a responsible Shop Assistant for KK Super Mart Chan Sow Lin outlet to support daily store operations, assist customers, and ensure smooth checkouts.

You will handle stock, maintain shelves, operate the POS system, and contribute to a safe, clean shopping environment while delivering friendly, professional service during shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is an added advantage.
• 1–3 years of retail experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork and leadership abilities; able to work shifts.
• Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure merchandise is received, checked, recorded, arranged, and returned correctly.
• Maintain proper stock levels and assist with inventory-related activities.
• Replenish shelves and ensure products are neatly arranged and displayed.
• Keep the store clean, tidy, organized, and safe for customers and staff.
• Operate POS systems and store equipment according to company procedures.
• Handle company property, equipment, merchandise, and other assets with care.
• Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and general requests.
• Support store operations during promotions, stock counts, peak periods, and other activities.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and promptly report incidents when required.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Help maintain the positive image and reputation of KK Supermart.
