Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) is seeking a responsible Shop Assistant to support daily operations at KK Supermart. You will handle stock, assist customers, and operate the POS system to ensure smooth store performance.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Prior retail experience and a customer-focused mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage.
• 1–3 years of retail experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good teamwork and leadership abilities.
• Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Flexible to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Possess own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure merchandise is received, checked, recorded, arranged, and returned correctly.
• Maintain proper stock levels and assist with inventory-related activities.
• Replenish shelves and ensure products are neatly arranged and displayed.
• Keep the store clean, tidy, organized, and safe for customers and staff.
• Operate POS systems and store equipment according to company procedures.
• Handle company property, equipment, merchandise, and other assets with care.
• Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and general requests.
• Support store operations during promotions, stock counts, peak periods, and other activities.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and promptly report incidents when required.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Help maintain the positive image and reputation of KK Supermart.
