Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) is seeking a Shop Assistant (Full Time) for KK SUPER MART Jalan Semarak to support daily store operations and customer service. You will assist with receiving, stocking, merchandising, and inventory checks while ensuring a clean, well-presented store and safe use of POS equipment.

The role requires 1–3 years of retail experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• SPM, Diploma, or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree is an advantage.
• 1–3 years of retail experience preferred.
• Candidates with experience supervising staff or leading a retail team will have an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Good understanding of store operations and inventory handling.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
• Possess own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager/Supervisor in overseeing daily outlet operations.
• Support the team in receiving, checking, recording, arranging, and returning merchandise.
• Monitor stock availability and ensure timely replenishment of products.
• Assist with inventory counts and report stock discrepancies when identified.
• Ensure merchandise is properly displayed and the store maintains a high standard of presentation.
• Monitor store cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure POS systems, equipment, and machinery are used correctly and safely.
• Assist in protecting company assets and minimizing loss or damage.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer enquiries professionally.
• Support the team in handling operational issues, emergencies, and incidents.
• Assist with staff coordination and daily task allocation when required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain and promote the professional image of KK Supermart.
