Job summary

WOW Beauty Malaysia is seeking an energetic Retail Beauty Trainer to empower our retail teams through engaging product, sales, and service training. You will deliver classroom sessions and regular in-store coaching to ensure confidence, knowledge, and outstanding customer experiences.

The role involves planning programs for new and existing staff, conducting makeup, skincare, and personal care training, and coaching on consultation techniques and closing sales.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Beauty Therapy, Cosmetology, Retail Management, Human Resource Development or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver training programmes for new and existing retail employees.
• Conduct product knowledge training across makeup, skincare, personal care and beauty categories.
• Train employees on customer consultation, product recommendation, cross-selling, upselling and closing techniques.
• Provide coaching on customer service, grooming, hygiene and professional image standards.
• Conduct regular store visits to observe employee performance and provide on-the-job coaching.
• Identify training and performance gaps and recommend appropriate improvement actions.
• Prepare training materials, presentations, product guides, quizzes and practical assessments.
• Support training for new product launches, promotional campaigns and new store openings.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations and employee feedback.
• Work closely with Retail Operations, HR, Marketing and brand partners to ensure training content supports business needs.
• Maintain accurate training attendance, assessment and coaching records.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging product, sales and service training to Beauty Advisors and store employees. This role involves both classroom training and regular in-store coaching to ensure our teams are confident, knowledgeable and able to provide an excellent customer experience.

Requirements

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Beauty Therapy, Cosmetology, Retail Management, Human Resource Development or a related field.

Minimum three years of experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, personal care or retail.

Previous experience in training, coaching, team leadership or employee development is preferred.

Strong knowledge of beauty products, skincare, makeup and customer consultation techniques.

Good understanding of retail sales and customer service.

Confident presentation, facilitation and product demonstration skills.

Able to simplify technical product information into practical and easy-to-understand training content.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and presentation tools.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage.

Willing to travel regularly between retail outlets.

Flexible to support store openings, product launches and retail events when required。
