Sushi Ya, a fast-growing Japanese restaurant, seeks a proactive Manager/Asst. Manager to lead daily operations, develop the team, and optimize guest experience. You will drive service quality, food standards and SOP compliance while pushing for sales and efficiency targets.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and decision‑making skills, with a focus on inventory control, cost management, and shift coverage across a busy environment in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant management or F&B operations is preferred.
• Strong leadership and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to manage team performance and daily business priorities.
• Solid understanding of inventory management, cost control, and SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations ensuring service quality and food standards.
• Lead manpower planning, staff development, and performance management.
• Monitor sales, costs, inventory, and wastage to support business goals.
• Address customer feedback and improve guest satisfaction.
• Ensure consistent implementation of food safety, hygiene and SOPs.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement and implement changes.
