Job summary

GECO Asia Pte Ltd is seeking an IT infrastructure specialist in Kuala Lumpur to drive Nutanix deployments and virtualization operations. The role involves working with a customer’s IT team onsite and remotely, ensuring smooth implementation, upgrades, and ongoing support across Nutanix platforms and VMware ESXi environments.

The candidate should have 3–5 years in IT enterprise settings, strong virtualization experience, and relevant degree or diploma.

Qualifications

• Sound experience of aminimum3 - 5 years in an IT enterprise environment.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Virtualized IT environments.
• A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma is mandatory (engineering, CS, or IS preferred).
• Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCAP, VCIX, CCNA, CCIA and RHCE are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in service delivery and work with the customer’s IT team onsite and remote for Nutanix implementation and administration.
• Clarify and align IT objectives and OLAs with day-to-day activities.
• Leverage Nutanix products to assist with planning and operations support for the Nutanix environment.
• Deliver Nutanix implementations and virtual infra operations support.
• Collaborate with architects/SMEs to apply Nutanix best practices for adoption and expansion.
• Proactively identify possible improvements in the customer’s IT environment.
• Collaborate with the Nutanix Sales Team to identify opportunities and report status.

• Hands-on execution of:




• Deployment, installation, and configuration of Nutanix core products




• SW/FW Upgrades and patching




• DR planning, setting, restoration




• VM lifecycle Management (creation, deletion, cloning, snapshot etc.)




• V2V and P2V Migrations




• A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma is mandatory (I.E. Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems is preferred).




• Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCAP, VCIX, CCNA, CCIA and RHCE are preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in service delivery and working with a customer's IT team (both onsite and remote) and be recognized as a leading member for Nutanix product implementation,operationand administration.




• Clarify andcomprehendthe customer'sshort—and long-term ITobjectivesor OLA and align yourself with your day-to-day activities.




• Leveraging extensive knowledge of Nutanix products and features toassistcustomers in planning strategic implementations and/or operations support for their Nutanix environment.




• Be responsible fordelivering Nutanix Implementations and/or Virtual Infra operations support.




• Leverage Nutanix IP by working collaboratively with architects/SMEs to blend Nutanix best practices to accelerate the adoption and expansion of their Nutanix environment.




• Be proactive and actively assume, assess, andidentifypossible areasof improvement in the customer's IT environment.




• Collaborates with the Nutanix Sales Team in identifying and communicating new opportunities and ongoing customer status and reporting.
