Job summary

ITProposal is seeking an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer for Break & Fix services in Malaysia. This freelance, on-call role requires diagnosing and resolving infrastructure incidents, both onsite and remotely, with a focus on Nutanix (AOS/AHV/Prism) and networking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.
• CCNA Certification is mandatory.
• Solid Nutanix experience (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP.
• Excellent communication skills in fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Respond to incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records.
• Interact professionally with end users and stakeholders.
