Softenger on-site in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks an experienced Resident Engineer specializing in virtualization and Nutanix HCI for a 12-month renewable contract. You will own Nutanix clusters, manage VMs, monitor performance, and drive incident resolution with vendor coordination to ensure uptime in a critical enterprise environment.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in infrastructure and virtualization, deep Nutanix AHV/VMware/Hyper-V expertise, and strong English communication.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or related field.
At least 5+ years in infrastructure, data center operations or virtualization.
Hands-on with Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere/ESXi, or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Operational knowledge of storage architectures, replication, and high availability.

Mansioni

Manage Nutanix clusters and hyper-converged infrastructure nodes.
Administrate virtual machines, guest OS, and resources daily.
Monitor performance, capacity, and cluster availability.
Troubleshoot hardware, storage, networking, and virtualization issues.
Serve as escalation point for Nutanix-related incidents and liaise with vendor support.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements and patches.
Perform cluster software upgrades and maintenance with minimal downtime.
Manage storage containers, data resiliency policies, snapshots, and replication workflows.
