Job summary

Bright Nexus (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Resident Engineer to provide technical support and deliver best-practices in client environments, focusing on endpoint and security operations.

The role involves reviewing service requests, performing daily technical operations within SLA, preparing reports, and coordinating with vendors, with placement at the client site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field; CGPA to be indicated in CV.
• Strong command of English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to develop cybersecurity skills and learn new technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Able to work at client site with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review service requests and handle daily Endpoint security operations within SLA.
• Provide system maintenance and test patches to ensure functionality.
• Analyze customer endpoint configurations.
• Provide regular progress updates and reports.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors as applicable.

The primary focus of the Resident Engineer is to provide technical support, able to deliver “best-practices” and performing technical operation to selected customers. The candidate should display an understanding of technology infrastructures using network security, Endpoint security or threat monitoring / scanning tools.

Job Description:

• Multi-tasking skill with a keen eye for detail who are well organized and thrive in fast-paced, high-stress scenarios.
• Review service request and handle daily technical operation (Endpoint security) support to customers within given SLA.
• Provide system maintenance and test patches/fixes to ensure they are implemented and functioning correctly.
• Analyse customer’s endpoint configurations.
• Provide regular updates on work-in-progress and current issues.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly report(s).
• Coordinate and work with third-party vendors where applicable.
• Candidate will be based at client's site.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field (must indicate CGPA in CV). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
