Job summary

Blue Fortress Sdn. Bhd. – Alor Setar, Kedah is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to implement, maintain, and optimise cybersecurity technologies across enterprise environments. You will own technical projects and client engagements, providing expert support throughout the solution lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on security capabilities, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and clients. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; 3-6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
• Understanding of cybersecurity in on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Strong communication, client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in cybersecurity vendors, system integrators, technology distributors, or enterprise environments; willingness to travel; relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of cybersecurity technologies across enterprise environments.
• Provide post-sales technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve complex security issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Manage technical projects and direct client engagements from planning to handover.
• Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, vendors and internal teams on design and improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices.

Responsibility

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising cybersecurity technologies across enterprise environments. You will take ownership of technical projects and client engagements, providing expert technical support throughout the solution lifecycle. The role requires strong hands-on technical capabilities, sound problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• System Implementation & Maintenance – Lead the deployment, configuration, integration, maintenance, and upgrades of cybersecurity technologies, including encryption and data security solutions, HSM, mobile security, CLM, identity management, authentication, and network security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Post-Sales Technical Support – Provide ongoing technical support to clients after deployment, including troubleshooting, system health checks, configuration changes, upgrades, and issue resolution. Manage support cases and ensure timely resolution within agreed service levels.
• Technical Troubleshooting & Incident Response – Diagnose and resolve complex technical and security issues, conduct root cause analysis, investigate security incidents, address vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate remediation measures.
• Project & Client Management – Take ownership of assigned technical projects and client engagements from planning and implementation through testing, deployment, and handover. Work directly with clients to understand requirements, provide technical recommendations, and communicate project or support updates.
• Technical Collaboration & Continuous Improvement – Work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, vendors, and internal technical teams on solution design, proof-of-concepts, escalations, and technical issues. Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve security, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Documentation, Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing – Maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, configuration records, and support reports. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing, best practices, and team capability development.
