Job summary

JLL Malaysia is seeking a Data Center Technician to monitor tickets, support clients by phone or email, and perform power verification and routine maintenance on racks and cabling. You will engage with customers, supply and install equipment, conduct site surveys, and assist project teams.

A Diploma/Degree in IT and at least 3 years in data center or NOC environments, plus strong English communication, are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Diploma/Degree in IT related field with 3 years working experience.
• Experience in interacting with customers verbally and via written communication.
• Must be analytical and able to communicate in English.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates with data center experience (remote hands/NOC) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming tickets for processing from the ticketing portal or via email and respond based on SLA.
• Provide support to clients/users over phone or via email.
• Perform power verification and break-fix (e.g., change hard disk, RAM).
• Installations and mounting of equipment onto racks; cabling planning and execution.
• Perform site surveys, cross connects, testing and labeling.
• Security CCTV monitoring and tape rotation scheduling.
