Job summary

Etiqa Insurance and Takaful in Malaysia seeks a dynamic professional to drive business development, nurture relationships with agents, brokers and corporate clients, and grow agency performance across the Sabah region.

Key duties include ensuring compliance with underwriting rules and cash-before-cover practices, maintaining accurate policy documentation, and delivering service excellence through collaboration with underwriting, finance and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Insurance/Finance or related field is required.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interest in Business Development, Sales, and Relationship Management within the Insurance industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Drive achievement of business targets by building relationships with intermediaries and managing agency performance.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and credit control measures.
• Deliver service excellence by coordinating with underwriting, finance, and other teams to issue policies and meet SLAs.
