Job summary

RHB Insurance Berhad in Melaka is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth through agency and direct portfolios. You will support marketing strategies, build strong agency networks, and work with underwriters on new risks within approved authority.

You will also lead recruitment of agency staff, manage relationships with agents and partners, and help expand market share through targeted marketing initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and governance at all times.

Qualifications

• A degree or professional qualification from a Govt-recognised institution.
• Candidates with knowledge/experience in the insurance industry are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical skills with good knowledge of insurance products and market practices.
• Proven ability to achieve profitability and sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Manager in formulating and implementing marketing strategies to maximise business potential through the Agency channel.
• Manage and grow agency, RHB Group, and direct business portfolios to improve productivity and profitability.
• Collaborate with underwriters on acceptance of new risks within authority limits.
• Drive Agency Recruitment Programmes to strengthen and expand the agency force.
• Organise relationship enhancement activities to maintain strong engagement with agents and partners.
• Conduct agency portfolio segmentation and identify opportunities for growth.
• Review and monitor product portfolios for competitiveness and relevance.
• Identify market opportunities and develop structured marketing strategies to expand market share.
• Coordinate surveys and risk management programmes for Banca Retail clients.
• Monitor compliance with Credit Control policies, regulatory requirements, and Company guidelines.
• Ensure all business activities comply with regulatory guidelines and Company policies.
