Job summary

Great Eastern in Malaysia is expanding its Agency Distribution Channel by recruiting new agents and boosting productivity with a profitable portfolio mix aligned to risk appetite and underwriting guidelines.

You will lead recruitment, mentor staff, drive growth, ensure compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver sustainable agency performance and underwriting profitability.

Qualifications

• Must have a basic degree or an insurance qualification (AMII/DMII).
• 2–5 years’ experience in Sales or Marketing, preferably in General Insurance.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, interpersonal, sales & marketing, and business acumen skills.
• High integrity, accountability, and teamwork orientation.
• Take initiative to drive improvements and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Expand the Agency Distribution Channel by recruiting new agents and increasing productivity.
• Conserve renewal and grow the agency force through grooming and recruitment.
• Develop portfolio mix to achieve underwriting profit within company risk appetite.
• Provide guidance and leadership to staff under your care.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manage regulatory/compliance risks.
