Job summary

ViTrox Corporation Berhad in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for research, design, prototyping and project documentation to develop advanced vision inspection machines.

You will research, design, and develop equipment for PCB assembly and semiconductors, support customer requests, benchmarking and site installation, and contribute to engineering changes and feasibility studies. Strong CAD skills and knowledge in motion control are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree/Master in Mechanical/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or related CAD software.
• Experience in machine design; project management experience is a plus.
• Knowledge in motion control, electrical/electronics, and machine vision is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Research, design and develop vision inspection equipment for PCB assembly and semiconductors.
• Prototype and document projects; support hardware-related customer requests, benchmarking and site installation.
• Initiate engineering changes to improve quality and reduce costs; conduct feasibility studies on equipment and systems.

Job description

We are looking for an innovative Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate about research, design, prototyping, and project management documentation for advanced automated machines.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and developing vision inspection equipment for various industries, especially for printed circuit board assembly and semiconductors. You must support hardware-related customer requests, including troubleshooting and customization during benchmarking & site installation. To achieve the purpose of quality improvement/cost down, you are required to initiate engineering change. Otherwise, you will conduct a feasibility study on equipment, components, and systems performance.

Requirements :

• A recognized Degree/Master in Mechanical/Mechatronics or equivalent
• Proficient in Solidworks or related CAD software
• Experience in machine design, product development, project management will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in motion control/electrical & electronics/machine vision will be beneficial
