Job summary

Ideal Vision Integration Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for automated vision inspection equipment. You will review designs for compliance with standards and collaborate with the vision software team through system integration to delivery.

The role includes coordinating with system integrators, suppliers, and contractors, plus onsite setup, troubleshooting, and customer support as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/E&E or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, robotic systems, vision systems and mechanical design.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD; SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for automated vision inspection systems across multiple industries.
• Review equipment design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and product requirements.
• Collaborate with vision software team on system integration from design to delivery.
• Manage system integrators, equipment suppliers, contractors and other external vendors to meet project objectives.
• Perform onsite system setup, troubleshoot, and provide technical assistance to customers as needed.
