Job summary

EPS Malaysia is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design automated machine modules and mechanical components for robotics and vision inspection systems in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will prepare detailed drawings and BOMs and maintain production procedures.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in automation or semiconductor manufacturing, and strong skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office, and ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in machinery, automation, semiconductor, or related manufacturing industries.
• Experience with robotic arms, vision inspection systems, sensors, actuators, and motion control systems.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese for effective communication with international teams.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and SEMI standards.

Responsibilities

• Design automated machine modules and mechanical components per customer requirements and relevant automation industry standards.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for mechanical fabrication parts and standard electro-pneumatic components.
• Develop and maintain production procedures, operating instructions, and process control documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with electrical, controls, software, and production teams to ensure smooth integration of mechanical systems.
