Job summary

Businesslist is seeking engineers to design, develop and implement electrical control systems for automated machinery in Batu Kawan, Penang. The role focuses on PLC ladder programming, testing and debugging to optimize hardware efficiency and performance.

You will work with mechanical teams to ensure on-time installation and provide technical support for production and stakeholders. Prior experience in machine design, automation, and machine vision is valued.

Qualifications

• Background in Computer Science or Engineering related field.
• Proficient in PLC programming and MS Visual C++ 5.0 or newer.
• Experience in machine design, machine vision and automation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement electrical control systems.
• Develop and debug PLC ladder diagrams.
• Code, test and optimize programs for efficient execution and hardware utilisation.
• Coordinate with mechanical team to ensure timely electrical installation.
• Provide technical support on control system issues for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in R&D for advanced automated inspection machines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement a new and existing electrical control system
• Develop and debug PLC ladder diagram
• Code, test, debug to enhance and initiate efficient program execution and performance and ultimately to reach optimum hardware utilisation
• Work closely with the mechanical design team to ensure the electrical design and installation are completed on time for optimum performance
• Provide technical support to internal production and external stakeholders on control system troubleshooting related issues when necessary
• An integral role in research, designing and developing advanced automated inspection machines.

Key Qualifications

• Background in Computer Science / Engineering (Mechatronics / Electrical & Electronics / Computer / Software) or equivalent
• Proficient in programming especially in PLC, MS Visual C++ 5.0 or above
• Experience in machine design, product development and machine vision systems will be an added advantage
• Knowledgeable in electrical & electronics, machine vision inspection system and automation machines will be beneficial
