Job summary

Eco World in Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to lead pre- and post-contract activities across assigned projects. You will prepare tender and contract documentation, support cost control, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant contract administration.

The role requires 4–6 years’ contract administration experience, delivery on large-scale development projects, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of contract administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience in pre- and post-contract processes.
  • Exposure to large-scale development projects is an added advantage.

  • Prepare tender documents, pricing schedules, scopes and supporting information.

Role Summary

The Quantity Surveyor executes and coordinates pre- and post-contract activities for assigned projects. The role prepares tender and contract documentation, supports claim and variation assessment, monitors project cost and contract records, and coordinates stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant Contract Administration.

  • Ensures assigned activities comply with approved SOPs and contract requirements.
  • Identifies documentation, cost and compliance issues for Manager review.
  • Supports smooth coordination across project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Tender and Contract Preparation
  • Prepare tender documents, pricing schedules, scopes and supporting information.
  • Coordinate tender invitations, clarifications and submission records.
  • Assist in tender evaluation and comparison.
  • Prepare Letters of Award and contract agreements for review.
Post-Contract Administration
  • Check contractor and consultant progress claims.
  • Prepare variation orders and supporting cost information.
  • Support final-account measurement and documentation.
  • Monitor project contract deliverables and outstanding actions.
Cost and Record Management
  • Update contract-value, payment, variation, claim and final-account trackers.
  • Maintain contract files, correspondence and approvals.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing documents and overdue submissions.
  • Prepare project contract-status reports.
Compliance and Coordination
  • Check compliance with contract terms, approved procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with Project Implementation, consultants, contractors, Finance and Group Contract.
  • Follow up on clarifications, approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Escalate complex or disputed matters to the Manager.
Team Support
  • Guide Executives on document preparation and routine Contract Administration activities where assigned.
  • Check the completeness and accuracy of routine outputs.
  • Participate in technical sharing and process-improvement activities.
  • Support delivery of project deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience
