Job summary

LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, budgeting, tender management, site valuations and contract administration on major projects.

You will prepare detailed Bill of Quantities, monitor cash flows, manage final accounts and ensure robust cost control. Requires Diploma or Bachelor’s in QS or related field, 2–5 years’ experience, and proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD and QS software.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, budget forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Tender Management: Handle pre- and post-tender processes, including calling for quotations, evaluating subcontractor bids, preparing tender documentation, and assisting in contract awards.
• Site Valuations & Claims: Perform site measurements, prepare interim progress claims, verify subcontractor payment valuations, and process variation orders (VO).
• Contract Administration: Manage construction contracts, monitor contract compliance, handle contractual issues, and advise on cost control measures.
• Final Accounts: Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project managers to finalize project accounts smoothly.

Job requirements & Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2-5 years of working experience in quantity surveying, preferably with a main contractor, developer, or consultancy firm.

Strong knowledge of local contract forms (e.g., PAM, PWD/JKR, or FIDIC contracts) and construction law.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and QS measurement software (e.g., Glodon, Cubicost, or CostX).
