Qualifications

• 3–5 years of quantity surveying experience with tender preparation and contract administration.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field; AIQS membership is preferred.
• Strong cost estimation, budgeting and financial analysis skills.
• Knowledge of PAM/CIDB standard form contracts is desirable.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (Tender & Contracts) to join BNF HOLDING SDN BHD on a full-time basis in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. This is a strategic position within our construction surveying team, where you will play a crucial role in managing tender processes and contract administration. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost estimation, competitive bidding, and effective contract management throughout project lifecycles. This role is essential to our business operations and directly contributes to the profitability and successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse detailed tender documents, bills of quantities and cost estimates for construction projects
• Manage the tender process, including issuing tender invitations, evaluating bids and preparing tender reports and recommendations
• Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, contractors and suppliers to protect company interests
• Administer contracts throughout project execution, including variations, claims management and contract modifications
• Conduct cost control and value engineering assessments to optimise project budgets and maintain profitability
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including cost reports, variation orders and payment certificates
• Liaise with project managers, clients and contractors to resolve contractual and commercial issues
• Monitor project budgets and provide regular cost forecasting and financial updates to senior management
• Ensure compliance with tender procedures and contractual obligations in accordance with industry standards and company policies

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related construction discipline
• Professional qualification such as AIQS (Associated Institute of Quantity Surveyors) membership or equivalent certification
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with proven expertise in tender preparation and contract administration
• Strong proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting and financial analysis within construction projects
• Comprehensive knowledge of standard form contracts (such as PAM or CIDB conditions of contract)
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software packages
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisational and time management capabilities
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction industry practices and regulations is highly desirable
