Job summary

LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable Project Engineer to help plan, coordinate, and execute construction projects in Malaysia. You will work with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with standards.

The role requires strong collaboration, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage budgets and schedules across multiple sites, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with strong internship experience may be considered for junior roles.
• Experience in construction and project management is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing project scope, schedules and budgets from conception to completion
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution
• Prepare and review technical drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance
• Support procurement processes including material selection and technical evaluation
• Attend site meetings and prepare progress documentation to resolve technical and coordination issues
• Monitor project progress and report on KPIs including cost, time and quality
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays

Job requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Proven experience in project planning, design, and execution

Willingness to travel or be stationed at project sites

Knowledge of ISO standards and safety regulations (e.g. CIDB, OSHA)

Knowledge of contract administration and project documentation is an advantage
