Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hands-on Quantity Surveyor with 2–3 years of construction experience. You will support both pre-contract and post-contract QS activities, focusing on quantity take-off, Bills of Quantities, tender pricing and cost estimation.

You will collaborate with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and liaise with contractors, consultants and internal teams on QS-related matters, while handling variation orders, final accounts and cost monitoring.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity taking-off and Bills of Quantities (BQ) based on construction drawings and specifications.
• Assist in tender preparation, pricing and cost estimation.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, including preparing quotation comparison statements.
• Assist in reviewing contractors' and subcontractors' claims and payment applications.
• Assist in managing variation orders, claims and measurements.
• Assist in monitoring project costs, budgets and cost commitments.
• Assist in contract administration and preparation of final accounts.
• Prepare tender reports and supporting documents for management approval.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and internal departments on QS-related matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
