Job summary

Giant Leap Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for its projects in Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on financial management, cost estimation, project planning, and contract coordination to ensure successful project delivery.

Fresh graduates are welcome, with opportunities to advance; independent work capability and multilingual communication are valued to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Educational background: Bachelor's/PG/Professional degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
• Multilingual: Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and English for diverse communication.
• Experienced candidates may be considered for senior positions.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management: prepare progress claims, payment certs, variation orders, final accounts.
• Cost Estimation: estimate quantity and costs of labor, materials, machinery.
• Project Planning: develop cost plans, estimates and cash flow projections.
• Contract Coordination: liaise with sub-contractors on contract matters.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management: Prepare progress claims, payment certificates, variation orders, and final accounts.

Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate the quantity and costs of labor, materials, and machinery.

Project Planning: Develop cost plans, estimates, and cash flow projections to ensure project success.

Contract Coordination: Liaise and coordinate with sub-contractors on contract matters, ensuring smooth project execution.

Tender Preparation:Prepare tendering documents, measurements, and bills of quantities.

Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks as assigned by the superior.

What We’re Looking For

Educational Background:Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
