Job summary

Vision Craft Construction Sdn Bhd in Butterworth, Penang is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to contribute to cost planning and procurement on upcoming construction projects. Responsibilities include detailed quantity take-offs, preparing quotations, evaluating variations, and supporting the QS team in budgeting and contract administration.

Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Fluency in Mandarin and English required.
• Fresh graduates welcome for Junior QS; internship in cost estimation valued.
• For experienced QS: 2–3 years in cost estimation, contracts and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Take-off and measurement from drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations; liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare Variation Orders (VO) and assess changes.
• Assist in cost control, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Collaborate with project teams for cost-effective execution.

Junior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor

Vision Craft Construction Sdn Bhd is a construction company based in Butterworth, Penang. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Taking Off and Measurement

• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings, specifications, and contracts

Prepare Quotation

• Analyze project requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing
• Ensure quotations align with project specifications and client expectations.

Prepare Variation Order (VO)

• ldentify and evaluate variations from the original scope of work

Support QS Team

• Assist in cost control, budgeting, and contract administration
• Support the QS team in preparing documentation
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effective project execution.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel,Word) applications
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
• For Junior QS: "Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Internship experience in construction cost estimation is an advantage"
• For QS: "Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in construction cost estimation, contracts, and procurement"
