Job summary

TRAX SOLUTIONS SDN BHD in Shah Alam is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, prepare estimates, tender documents, and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

You will perform quantities take-offs, analyze costs, review subcontractor bids, monitor budgets, and prepare cost reports. A degree in Quantity Surveying and 3–5 years' experience, plus registration with BQSM, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in construction or project-based environments.
• Registered with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) as QST/PVQS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender/contract documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost analysis from drawings and specs.
• Prepare, review, and evaluate tender submissions and subcontractor proposals.
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
• Prepare and evaluate progress claims, interim valuations, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Review subcontractors’ and suppliers’ claims, quotations, and invoices.
• Identify and manage variations and potential cost implications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams on commercial matters.
• Maintain records of costs, contracts, variations, claims, and other commercial documentation.
• Prepare periodic cost reports and cash flow forecasts for management.
