Job summary

NEXON ENGINEERING (M) SDN BHD is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Malaysia. You will prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, quotations and tender documents, and support cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

You will review subcontractor quotations, manage budgets and variations, liaise with clients and consultants, and ensure accurate project documentation. The role requires a degree or diploma in QS, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field required.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or M&E projects is advantageous.
• Proficient in quantity measurement, costing, contracts and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, quotations, and tender documents.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Manage project costing, budgets, variations, and payment claims.
• Prepare and evaluate progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to management.
• Ensure proper documentation and records of all commercial and contractual matters.
• Perform other QS-related duties as assigned.
