Job summary

SaveLite Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in Penang invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The role supports design calculations, tender documentation, project costing and contract administration.

Responsibilities include take-off quantity, cost planning, verifying subcontractor claims, and coordinating with clients, consultants and site teams. Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is advantageous.

Qualifications

SPM or higher; Diploma/ Bachelor’s in QS or Electrical Engineering
1–2 years of related experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good communication
Able to work under pressure and independently

Prepare design calculations and technical drawings.
Prepare tender BQ and tender documentation, project costing and contract administration.
Call quotations and coordinate tenders.
Take-off quantities and cost planning.
Check and verify claims from sub-contractors.
Liaise with sub-contractors, client, consultant and project team.
Follow-up with project team on site progress.
Assist in contractual issues and other QS-related duties

QUANTITY SURVEYOR / ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Assist to prepare design calculations and technical drawings.

Assist to prepare tender BQ and tender documentation, project costing and contract administration.

Assist in calling quotation and tender coordination.

Assist in taking-off quantities and cost planning.

Check and verify claims from sub-contractors.

Liaise with sub-contractors, client, consultant and project team.

Follow-up with project team on progress of work done at site.

Assist in operation matters on contractual issues and any other contracts administration duties related to QS.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least SPM, Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Preferably candidate with any Certificate related to QS.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (able to converse in mandarin will be an added advantage)

Preferably 1 to 2 years of working experience in related fields.

Required Skill(s): Excellent in Microsoft Excel and communication.

Able to work under pressure and independently.
