Job summary

Maxwell Aluminium Engineering Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor to support tendering and project cost control. You will take-off quantities, prepare cost estimates, and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for quotes, while verifying progress claims and variation orders.

The role also involves preparing final accounts, updating project reports, attending site visits, and maintaining rigorous filing and document control. Mandarin ability is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (aluminium and glass industry an advantage).
• Able to read construction drawings and prepare cost estimates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred but not mandatory.

To assists in tender costing and tender analysis.

To assists in liaising with sub contractors and suppliers to obtain quotations for tender and project purposes.

Responsible in checking and verification of progress claims and variation order.

Responsible in preparing claims and payment certificates.

To assists in preparation of final account report for completed projects.

To update monthly report for each project.

Attend site visit and site meeting as and when required by management.

Responsible to ensure proper filing and document control for various documents such as correspondence, sub-contractors' progress claim and payment certificate, Main Contractor's claim, etc.

Any other task which may be assigned from time to time by the superior and management.

Requirements:
