Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years post-qualification experience preferred; fresh graduates welcome.
• Proven expertise in cost estimation, tender documentation, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

About the role

BRAMA IMPRESA DESIGN & BUILD SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. This is a full-time position based in Selangor, where you will play a crucial role in managing project costs, budgets, and financial planning for our construction projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role is integral to our project success and offers significant opportunities to influence project outcomes from financial, commercial, and contractual perspectives.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects
• Conducting detailed cost analysis and budget management throughout all project phases, from pre-contract to post-completion
• Negotiating contracts and agreements with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
• Preparing interim valuations, progress claims, and payment certificates in accordance with contract requirements
• Conducting site measurements and inspections to verify work completed and assess variations to contract scope
• Liaising with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to provide commercial and financial advice on project matters
• Advising on contractual implications and dispute resolution relating to costs, variations, and claims
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering without compromising quality or project objectives
• Able to carry out instruction given by superior

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline from a recognised university
• Preferably 1 - 3 years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, fresh graduate are welcome to apply too.
• Proven expertise in cost estimation, tender documentation, and procurement processes
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office suite, including Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction industry practices, building regulations, and relevant legislation is advantageous
