Job summary

Interiorscapes Consultancy in Damansara Perdana, Selangor, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to prepare quotations and manage cost control across design projects. This full-time role involves detailed quantity take-offs, reviewing supplier quotations, and maintaining costing documentation.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, and CostX, with strong numerical ability and keen attention to detail. Fresh graduates are welcome; occasional site visits may be required within Klang Valley.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to read/interprete technical drawings.
• Proficient in CostX or familiar with digital quantity take-off/estimating software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to travel to project sites within Klang Valley.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with designers and project teams.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to undertake site visits

About the role

Interiorscapes Consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis at our office in Damansara Perdana, Selangor. This is a pivotal position within our firm, where you will play a crucial role in preparing the Quotations for our design projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing expert cost management and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional value whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

Costing & Quotations

Prepare detailed project quotations based on drawings, specifications and design scope.

Perform material quantity take-offs from architectural and interior design drawings.

Prepare and maintain project scope and costing checklists.

Review quotations for accuracy, completeness and potential omissions.

Identify discrepancies, scope gaps and potential cost risks before projects commence.

Brief suppliers and subcontractors on project requirements and specifications.

Obtain, compare and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Clarify inclusions, exclusions, specifications and lead times.

Follow up with suppliers on price changes, material availability and market fluctuations.

Maintain and update supplier pricing and costing databases.

Site & Project Support

Conduct site measurements and occasional site visits.

Verify site conditions and dimensions against drawings.

Assist the project team with costing for design changes and additional works.

Work closely with designers and project managers to ensure project scope and costs are properly aligned.

What we're looking for
