Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Malaysian building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects at tender stage.
• Conduct site inspections and measurements to assess project scope and requirements.
• Analyse tender documents and specifications to provide accurate cost assessments.
• Manage project budgets and monitor expenditure throughout construction.
• Prepare variation orders and change order documentation.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotations and negotiate pricing.
• Maintain detailed records of project costs, quantities, and contractual documentation.
• Provide cost control reports and updates to project managers and senior management.
• Assist with contract administration and claims management.
• Conduct final account reconciliation and preparing completion reports.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring the financial viability of our construction projects. This role is essential to our business, bridging the gap between design teams, contractors, and project management to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects at tender stage
• Conducting site inspections and measurements to assess project scope and requirements
• Analysing tender documents and specifications to provide accurate cost assessments
• Managing project budgets and monitoring expenditure throughout the construction phase
• Preparing variation orders and change order documentation when project requirements evolve
• Liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotations and negotiate pricing
• Maintaining detailed records of project costs, quantities, and contractual documentation
• Providing cost control reports and financial updates to project managers and senior management
• Assisting with contract administration and claims management

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office applications
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standard practices
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations and construction standards
