Yu Tong Construction Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, prepare estimates, and ensure the financial viability of our construction projects.

This role bridges design teams, contractors, and project management to deliver projects on time and within budget, requiring a degree in Quantity Surveying and 3–5 years of relevant experience; strong cost estimation software skills and meticulous numerical abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Malaysian building regulations.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects at tender stage.
• Conduct site inspections and measurements to assess project scope and requirements.
• Analyse tender documents and specifications to provide accurate cost assessments.
• Manage project budgets and monitor expenditure throughout construction.
• Prepare variation orders and change order documentation.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotations and negotiate pricing.
• Maintain detailed records of project costs, quantities, and contractual documentation.
• Provide cost control reports and updates to project managers and senior management.
• Assist with contract administration and claims management.
• Conduct final account reconciliation and preparing completion reports.
