Job summary

TRIANON SDN BHD is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join the project and commercial team in Malaysia. You will oversee pre- and post-contract commercial administration, cost management, procurement, and contract documentation to safeguard company interests and profitability.

The role involves tender preparation, cost estimation, interim progress claims, cost-to-complete analyses, and final accounts coordination with clients and sub-contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre- and post-contract commercial administration.
• Proficiency in cost management and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with contract documentation and dispute avoidance/settlement.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs, prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), and cost estimates for tender submissions.
• Source quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors, analyze price competitiveness, and prepare cost comparisons.
• Review tender documents, contracts, and letters of award to identify potential commercial risks and contractual obligations.
• Prepare, submit, and substantiate monthly interim progress claims and work certifications to clients/main contractors within contractual timelines.
• Evaluate, certify, and process sub-contractors' and suppliers' progress claims and invoices.
• Monitor project expenditures, prepare project cash flow projections, and conduct regular cost-to-complete analyses.
• Identify site variations, evaluate Variation Orders (VO), compile supporting documentation, and negotiate fair claim settlements.
• Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to document site progress, delays, and contractual notices.
• Compile and finalize project final accounts with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors.
• Manage the release of retention sums, performance bonds, and final settlements upon completion of the Defect Liability Period (DLP).
• Assist management in contract administration and provide documentation support for payment dispute proceedings such as CIPAA or formal adjudication if required.

Key Responsibilities
