Job summary

Iktisas NMS Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in pre and post-contract activities to manage costs, procurement, and variations on projects in Malaysia.

The role requires keen attention to measurement, tendering, and timely progress claims, with the ability to work independently or within a team and willingness to travel to outstation sites when needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveyor or related construction economics field.
• At least 3–10 years working experience in pre and post contract management.
• Self-starter and fast learner, independent and able to work in team and with minimum supervision.
• Ability in allocating priorities and to achieve tight deadlines for tender process.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project).
• Possess own transportation and willing to work outstation when needed.

Responsibilities

• Pre and post contract management, monitoring materials, construction costs and procurement, variation order and final accounts.
• Familiarity with measurement and material quantity take-offs, forms of contract, and standard specifications.
• Tender costing, calling for quotations, evaluating supplier/sub-contractor bids, and preparation of tender documents for submission.
• Evaluate and prepare the project progress claims and verify the sub-contractors' monthly claims.
• Ensure the tender documents, Letter of Award, Bill of Quantities, Contract Documents, Quotation submissions are in order.
