Tiong Nam Logistics Solutions Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control across project lifecycles.
You will prepare take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documents, evaluate bids, and support contractual negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
With 2–5 years of relevant experience, you will work on high-rise, commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects, ensuring budgets are met.
Manage all pre-tender and post-tender quantity surveying activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for construction projects.
Evaluate tender submissions and prepare tender comparison reports.
Assist in tender submissions, budgeting, and contract negotiations.
Prepare and administer subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
Verify and process contractors' and subcontractors' progress claims.
Prepare and evaluate variation orders (VO), final accounts, and project cost reports.
Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within the approved budget.
Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost analysis.
Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams on commercial and contractual matters.
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and project requirements.
Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
Hands‑on experience in both pre‑tender and post‑tender activities is preferred.
Experience in high‑rise, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of construction contracts, tendering procedures, cost estimation, and cost control.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quantity surveying software.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
A positive attitude with good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
