CCIE ENGINEERING (M) SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting and contract administration across construction projects.

You will prepare bills of quantities, monitor expenditures, value engineering opportunities and liaise with clients and contractors to resolve cost issues. A professional QS qualification and 3–5 years in the field are preferred.

Qualificações

• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution.
• Membership eligibility with AIQS, RICS or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in measurement & estimation practices using standard methods.
• Solid understanding of PAM, IEM or FIDIC contracts.
• Cost planning, budgeting and financial management experience.
• Experience with construction management software and MS Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join CCIE ENGINEERING (M) SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation, financial management and contract administration. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in delivering projects on budget and on schedule, providing strategic financial oversight from the tender stage through to project completion. This role is fundamental to our project success and directly impacts our profitability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bills of quantities, cost estimates and tender documentation for construction projects
• Conduct quantity take-offs and material measurements from architectural and engineering drawings
• Manage project costs, budgets and financial forecasts throughout all project phases
• Monitor and control project expenditure, identifying and reporting cost variances
• Prepare valuations and interim payment certificates for contractors and clients
• Administer contracts, including contract negotiations and variations management
• Prepare final accounts and project closeout documentation
• Liaise with clients, contractors, architects and engineers to resolve cost and contractual matters
• Conduct market research and provide cost analysis for materials, labour and equipment
• Maintain detailed project records and cost databases for future reference and benchmarking
• Provide cost advice on design alternatives and value engineering opportunities

What we're looking for

• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent discipline from a recognised institution
• Membership or eligibility for membership with a professional body such as AIQS, RICS or equivalent Malaysian professional organisation
• Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
• Strong proficiency in measurement and estimation practices using standard methods of measurement
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, including standard forms such as PAM, IEM or FIDIC
• Competence in cost planning, budgeting and financial management
• Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Malaysian building regulations, standards and construction industry practices
• Preferred experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Proficient in Mandarin communication
